Homemade hot chocolate mix

This is a part of "Milk comes from cows an other such nonsense-a practical guide to homesteading in the now! ©SRGD 2010

When you have made this recipe you will have enough to make 14 cups of yummy hot chocolate or you can double batch it by following the directions in the parenthesis (28 cups)

2 cups instant non fat milk (4 cups)

1/2 cup cocoa (1 cup)

1 1/2 cup sugar (3 cups)

1/4 teaspoon salt (1/2 teaspoon)

Mix all together well, store in an air tight container.  I often add a whole vanilla bean to the container just to add a little extra flavor.

To use just add 3 heaping tablespoons to a cup of hot, not boiling water.  Now stir and enjoy.  This also makes chocolate milk, which is just really cold hot chocolate.

You can also a spoonful to a cup of coffee for an extra special chocolate treat.
